I’m a California native who has spent the last 6 years exploring the world. After college, I backpacked around New Zealand for year, spent 8 months volunteering and traveling in Southeast Asia , and worked for a year in Australia . During that time I was volunteering on farms using helpx.net and finding odd jobs to pay my way. Then I leveled up and worked as an English teacher in Japan for two years through the JET program. My next goal was to learn Spanish and travel in Europe , so I taught English for three years in Spain with the Cultural Ambassador Program. I left Spain during the pandemic and attended the Teacher Education Program at UC Santa Barbara for my teaching credential and Masters in Education. Last year I taught 3rd grade in Colombia. This year (2024) I’ve been substitute teaching in Santa Barbara. Next year I’m headed to teach 3rd grade at an American School in Monterrey, Mexico!
